(Dayton, Ohio) First Cutt announced local and well known PGA golf instructor Brad Smith, widely known as The Golf Doctor, has transition from Heatherwoode Golf Club to First Cutt Golf Facility, a move driven by one clear goal: providing his students with the very best instruction using the most advanced technology in the golf industry and more of a coaching/ educational/training style.

With the addition of 4K TrackMan technology at First Cutt, Smith is now able to deliver even more precise, data-driven instruction, allowing golfers of all levels to better understand their swing, ball flight, and performance tendencies. TrackMan’s industry-leading analytics enable Smith to diagnose issues faster, track improvement more accurately, and create highly customized development plans for each student.

Smith brings more than 40 years of teaching experience to First Cutt, making him one of the most seasoned and respected instructors in the Miami Valley area. His background includes extensive coaching at every level of the game, from junior golfers to competitive amateurs, collegiate athletes and club professionals. 

In addition to his private instruction success, Smith has served as a college coach at the University of Dayton and the University of Cincinnati, where he helped develop elite-level players through structured, performance-based programs, along with mental and course management. He also spent years coaching at Springboro High School, where he led the team to the state tournament four consecutive years, a testament to both his leadership and player-development expertise.

Over the course of his career, Smith has received numerous awards recognizing him as one of the area’s top golf teachers, reflecting his long-standing commitment to excellence, innovation, and student results.

Now at First Cutt, Smith plans to blend his decades of experience with cutting-edge technology to continue raising the standard of golf instruction individually and in clinics.
