- The High School golf season officially gets underway this Wednesday as thousands of student-athletes begin their pursuit of conference, sectional, district, and state championships.
While the season gets started on Wednesday, July 29, it moves quickly. For many teams, the journey concludes by mid-September as postseason play begins. In Southwest Ohio, the road to the State Championship opens on Monday, September 14, when approximately 1/3 of the Division I Girls compete at the Echo Hills Golf Club Sectional, marking the first step on the road to the OHSAA State Championships. One of the biggest changes this year is the return of the District Championships to Heatherwoode Golf Club. After a brief absence while the course completed its irrigation renovation project, Heatherwoode once again will welcome the area's top teams and individuals competing for a coveted berth in the state tournament. The road ultimately leads to three outstanding championship venues. The OHSAA State Championships will once again be contested at NCR Country Club, Firestone Country Club, and NorthStar Golf Club, where Ohio's best will compete for state titles. Miami Valley Golf is proud to once again partner with the OHSAA, our host facilities, coaches, players, and volunteers to administer another exciting postseason. Best of luck to all the teams and players as the 2026 season gets underway! |
