- The 126th U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship starts on Tuesday, August 4, at The Honors Course in Ooltewah, Tennessee. Designed by Pete Dye and opened in 1983, The Honors Course will play as a 6,539-yard, par-72 layout for one of the USGA’s premier amateur championships. A field of 156 of the world’s top amateur golfers will compete in 36 holes of stroke play before the low 64 players advance to the match play portion of the championship.

Four players earned their place in the championship through U.S. Women’s Amateur Qualifying at Walnut Grove Country Club on July 9. Bella Flores (Texas), Jie-En Lin (Chinese Taipei), Emily Mathews (North Carolina) and Taylor Snively (Indiana) all secured spots in the championship field. Lin, just 15 years old, will make her third consecutive U.S. Women’s Amateur appearance after being the youngest player in both the 2024 and 2025 championships.

Ohio Women’s Amateur champion Meadow Tian also punched her ticket to The Honors Course with her victory at the 103rd Ohio Women’s Amateur Championship at Moraine Country Club on July 17. A graduate of Olentangy High School, Tian will compete in the championship before beginning her freshman season at the University of Illinois later this month.
